OFW, named “JM,” went to the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLOs) in Jeddah to seek assistance after she was fιrєd.
The OFW said that her video was not σвѕcєnє or disgrαcєfυℓ but admitted that it was wrong to “TikTok” while wearing her company uniform.
The store management immediately reported the incident to her company.
JM was summoned by her agency to the office and ordered to remove the video she uploaded online.
She was also prevented from going to the office. She learned that she had been fιяєd on Thursday.
JM then apologizes and asks for forgiveness.
Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Welfare Officer James Mendiola reminded OFWs, especially those in Saudi Arabia, to be careful when posting on social media.
He said that most of the employers if not all are very sensitive to impression.
Or public images and that includes them.
So our social media post and upload must agree or- be in line with the norms of the kingdom
