Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town sales top 100,000 in North America

The July 14-released Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town was the fastest-selling title published by XSEED Games to reach 100,000 sales on a single platform in North America, the company announced. The specific platform was not announced. (Update 11:30 a.m.: The milestone was reached on Switch, XSEED Games confirmed to Gematsu.) The record was previously held by the Story of Seasons for 3DS.

“XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc. today announced that STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town has become the company’s fastest-selling title to reach 100,000 units on a single platform in North America. Previously held by the first release in the renamed series on the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system, STORY OF SEASONS, this expanded remake of the beloved 2003 Game Boy Advance farming/life sim reached the milestone on Nintendo Switch™ within one week after launching on July 14, 2020.”

Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town sales top 100,000 in North America

The fantasy-themed Story of Seasons series spin-off game Rune Factory 4 Special also surpassed 100,000 sales in North America in July, less than five months following its February 25 release.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is available now for Switch and PC via Steam.

Rune Factory 4 Special is available now for Switch.
